The SPECTRE Package

The price of SPECTRE, customised for two programming languages of your choice, is £1420 (pounds sterling), the equivalent of one week's pay for a freelance programmer.
Alternatively, you can request a fully-featured 31 day time-limited free trial version (see below, but please read the rest of this page first).
If you decide to purchase SPECTRE or order the trial version, you will receive the following:

  1. The software itself (as per the Demo on this site but with proper context-sensitive help-text)
  2. The User Guide
  3. Installation and Registration instructions
  4. Registration File (SRF)
  5. Free upgrades as and when available for at least one year (upgrades are not applicable to the trial version)
  6. A high degree of responsiveness to any queries and difficulties

and it would therefore help if you could add sales@spectre-task-estimator.com to your address book to prevent our deliverables being blocked by an over-zealous spam filter.

The User Guide is an 8-page non-technical description of how to get the best out of SPECTRE. Among other things it suggests how your own habits and standards can be reflected in the way you use the product.

Installation and Registration instructions
Self-explanatory really. Very short and straightforward, with coverage of certain Windows 'errors' which may occur and can be safely ignored if they do.

Registration File
The SRF is required at Registration time and its use is covered by the Installation and Registration instructions.

DELIVERY
When your order has been accepted, we will send you an email with items 2, 3, and 4 (above) as attachments. The Installation and Registration instructions will contain the address of our download site. Your visit to this site will initiate the transmission of the software as a Zip file. This is Item 1 (above).

The reason why we don't simply send you everything as an automatic response to your order is because SRF construction is a semi-manual process and cannot be done in real time. Your SRF is unique to your individual purchase and is therefore custom-built.
