The Author

David Victor has been involved in software development since 1968, when he joined British European Airways as a programmer.

He has since worked for many major organisations (Coutts Bank, Visa, Swiss Bank, IBM and others of similar calibre) gaining extensive experience of low and high-level languages including ALGOL, various Assembler and COBOL implementations, PL/I and SQL. Along the way he has also been exposed to SAS, Easytrieve, Macro- and Command-level CICS, Adabas, Ideal, C++ and VB6 among others.

In 1977 he was elected Fellow of the Institute of Data Processing.

David is a qualified proofreader, a published author of articles on Quality Assurance, Data Recording, Tactical Testing and Task Estimation, a combative chess player and an enthusiastic blues pianist.
